Kicking Horse Coffee Makes Its U.S. Festival Debut at the Denver Film Festival

The coffee rebel brings its bold brews and stirring spirit to Colorado’s largest film festival

Kicking Horse Coffee, the organic, fair trade coffee brand born in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, is bringing its signature boldness to the 48th Denver Film Festival, running October 31 to November 9, 2025, as an official Marquee Sponsor.

As a brand that has always championed doing things differently, Kicking Horse Coffee’s debut partnership with the festival pairs its irreverent energy and storytelling roots with one of Colorado’s most anticipated cultural events. The sponsorship includes the lead presentation of the festival’s Late Night at the Sie, featuring a consumer activation inside the Sie FilmCenter, plus coffee sponsorship for three key festival events and the VIP lounge throughout the 10-day Festival.

“At its core, Kicking Horse Coffee is a rebel with a heart of gold. The brand was built in 1996 by people who believe in doing what’s right and fueling creativity in every form,” said Daniele Foti, Marketing VP for Lavazza North America. “Our coffee has been in American pantries for a while now, with grocery chains across the country carrying a variety of our blends. Denver is currently our top-performing market, and this partnership gives us the chance to celebrate that connection - and our community of ass kickers - in person. Partnering with the Denver Film Festival felt like a natural fit. It’s a celebration of fearless storytellers — and that’s what Kicking Horse Coffee is all about.”

Late Night at the Sie presented by Kicking Horse Coffee will feature an immersive, after-hours activation where festival-goers can discover their coffee fortune through an interactive tarot and temporary tattoo experience. Running on weekends from 9 p.m. to midnight, the activation will serve complimentary brewed coffee alongside light tarot readings inspired by Kicking Horse Coffee’s signature blends. Each “reading” concludes with a personalized tarot card and a matching temporary tattoo, a playful nod to the brand’s “wake up and kick ass” philosophy.

Beyond the Sie Filmcenter activation, Kicking Horse Coffee will also be served at the festival’s Opening Night, Colorado Filmmaker Party, and Closing Night Gala, alongside the VIP lounge, keeping filmmakers, creators, and fans caffeinated through every screening and celebration.

The Denver Film Festival sponsorship is part of Kicking Horse Coffee’s continued push to grow its presence in key U.S. markets. To learn more about Kicking Horse Coffee, including the brand’s founding story, visit www.KickingHorseCoffee.com.

About Kicking Horse Coffee

Kicking Horse Coffee started roasting beans in a garage 28 years ago, in the middle of the Canadian Rockies. Today, the garage is a bit bigger and Kicking Horse Coffee has been consistently named one of the most kickass places to work in Canada. Fueled by our rebel-with-a-heart-of-gold attitude, we vow to always do the right thing, even if it’s the hard way. That means bucking shortcuts, chasing the harvest around the globe, and roasting every organic, fair trade bean at our home in the Rocky Mountains. All to create kick-ass coffee that wakes up the world. For more information, visit www.KickingHorseCoffee.com.
