HealthTrust recognized leading healthcare organizations for their commitment to delivering excellence

At its 2025 HealthTrust University Conference (HTU), leading healthcare performance improvement organization HealthTrust Performance Group recognized seven member organizations for their dedication to delivering outstanding performance. These organizations demonstrated excellence in areas including clinical, innovation, non-acute, operations, social stewardship and pharmacy.

“These exemplary member organizations have more than earned their recognition for making intentional enhancements designed to better serve their patients, staff and communities,” said Ed Jones, President and CEO at HealthTrust. “As HealthTrust's pinnacle of member achievement, our 2025 Member Recognition Awards not only elevate the standard of excellence within our network, but they also serve as a powerful inspiration for us all to strive for continuous and impactful improvements.”

The recipients of the HealthTrust 2025 Member Recognition Awards are:

  • Outstanding Member – USA Health, Mobile, Alabama, for achieving significant financial improvement through robust engagement across multiple initiatives. Through high contract compliance, implementation of key cost-saving measures, and active engagement in new contract categories, USA Health reported over $6 million in savings this fiscal year – demonstrating a strong commitment to maximizing supply chain value and operational excellence.
  • Clinical Excellence – Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System (FMOLHS), Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for transforming its value analysis program into a clinician-led, evidence-based system. This initiative was designed to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs by standardizing processes, engaging clinicians across disciplines and integrating clinical and financial insights. The organization reported that it identified up to $7.5 million in potential savings while enhancing care quality and fostering a cultural shift toward continuous improvement and clinical accountability.
  • Innovation – Trinity Health Corporation, Livonia, Michigan, for its use of robotic process automation to transform procure-to-pay systems and significantly optimize workflows. Since 2019, the organization has scaled from five to 22 automated processes, reporting savings of over $4.6 million, reducing manual workload across nearly $9 billion in payments and improving efficiency, accuracy and employee satisfaction through bots and strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Operational Excellence (Acute) – McLeod Health, Florence, South Carolina, for developing an item management application designed to streamline the resolution of external product disruptions, improve responsiveness and enhance product availability. McLeod Health reported this solution transformed its supply chain by creating an automated workflow that reduced alternative product sourcing as well as approvals from 23 days to 2 days.
  • Operational Excellence Award (Non-Acute) – Duly, Downers Grove, Illinois, for launching a comprehensive implementation initiative that set a new standard for operational distinction and financial impact. The Duly team went above and beyond, actively engaging in a robust savings optimization strategy, reporting nearly $4 million in verified savings and surpassing their already aggressive savings guarantee. This initiative exemplifies operational excellence by combining strategic planning, member engagement and cross functional accountability to maximize cost savings and streamline supply chain performance.
  • Social Stewardship – Boston Medical Center (BMC), Boston, Massachusetts, for its comprehensive sustainability initiatives. This includes investments in energy efficient infrastructure, which BMC notes has helped cut its carbon emissions by 94%. BMC is also committed to community wellbeing through programs designed to combat food and energy insecurity, such as rooftop farms, its Preventive Food Pantry and the Clean Power Prescription initiative, and reports these efforts have resulted in meaningful outcomes that promote health equity and environmental stewardship.
  • Pharmacy Excellence – Cape Cod Healthcare (CCHC), Hyannis, Massachusetts, for its strategic use of a specialty GPO to achieve cost savings across multiple service lines. By expanding its formulary with over 80-line items and optimizing purchasing through site-of-service evaluations and contract comparisons, the team projects significant annual savings in purchases as well as in new rebates. With support from HealthTrust resources, CCHC notes improved operational efficiency, cash flow and cost containment, all while maintaining high-quality patient care.
