Hosting Food Pantry & Local Favorites For Community
Kentwood, Michigan Mar 8, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - Kentwood, MI-based identical twins, Monica Sparks and Jessica Ann Tyson are announcing the plans of their annual Birthday Bash regardless of Covid 19 restrictions as the event has been modified. Together, they never forget their humble beginnings. From eating out of trash cans, being separated, placed in foster care, and adopted by a wonderful forever family, this duo believes in being a community, servant leader. In lieu of a big birthday bash and presents, they started an annual birthday bash giveback instead to share their special day with others less fortunate. Daily they challenge each other to 'live on purpose' by displaying random acts of kindness to encourage others.
This year, in honor of and to celebrate their birthday on March 10th, the twins are again making another investment but would like to do it BIGGER. They have started a Go Fund Me Page and plan on spending their day, live on Facebook, giving back to different places and spaces including a food truck from Feeding America, children in foster care, seniors, and many other exciting opportunities. The event starts at 7:30 am at Marge's Donuts where the two will be giving out one of their favorite breakfast treats, free Maple Bacon donuts, and ends with the two hostings a food truck with Feeding America and First Community A.M.E. Church. Along the way, they will also be paying it forward at Costco with senior citizens, and other random acts of kindness. (See schedule bottom of page)
"Like last year, we are so fortunate to make a personal donation and investment. Covid will not stop us this year from making an impact, we just want to make a larger impact with our community help, we can do that." Says Jessica Ann Tyson.

Last year they packed up 250 scratch-made lunches along with personal care items including much-needed feminine hygiene products, combs, warm socks, and other comfort items. The items were hand-delivered and gifted to those less fortunate in the Hearthside Community located in Downtown Grand Rapids, where they have the highest homeless population rate. 11:00 - 11:30 - Salted Cupcake designs new cupcake for Twins in honor of birthday girls. FREE cupcakes are given out between 11:00 - 11:30
12:00 - Twins gift warm and needed items to those Heartside with focus on housing insecure individuals
1:00 - Purchasing 100 bus passes from the Rapid for Bus passes for foster kids
1:45 - Pick up hair and skincare items for foster youth in transracial homes at Reflections Salon benefiting Foster Kent Kids
2:30 - Feeding America food distribution for families and seniors at First Community AME
