Cambridge Electronics Publishes New Blog Post Highlighting 20+ I Phone 12 Pro/Max – Tips & Tricks

Cambridge Electronics Incorporated, a team of Telus Specialists, has published a new blog post that highlights tips and tricks for owners of the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The blog post is titled ‘20+ iPhone 12 Pro/Max – Tips & Tricks’.

The iPhone 12 lineup launched on October 13 2020 at a virtual special event held by Apple. The phone is the 14th generation of the Apple iPhones. There are quite a few upgrades compared to the previous year’s iPhone 11. First of all, this iPhone introduced a design refresh with boxier, sharper edges compared to the smoother edges of the previous iPhone. They also added a Super Retina XDR OLED that was an upgrade from the Liquid Retina LED-backlit LCD IPS panel on the iPhone 11 and XR. The phone also added 5G support, the introduction of MagSafe, an upgraded, faster Apple A14 Bionic system on a chip (SoC), and high-dynamic-range video Dolby Vision 4K capability of up to 30 fps.

Cambridge Electronics’ blog post lists some lesser-known features and tips and tricks for iPhone 12 owners. The blog post begins by acknowledging that Apple has much less bulky boxing for the iPhone 12 for protecting the environment. The camera bump is a major differentiating factor compared to previous models. The peripherals of the phone are much flatter now. The metal on the outside is a fingerprint magnet. The sim slot is to the bottom left under the volume down button.

To exit out of an app the user has to simply swipe up from the bottom. If the user swipes up and holds it, then it will show them all of the running apps. The user can also simply swipe up on the running apps to quit them. The user can also swipe left or right at the bottom edge to switch between the apps. The user can swipe down from the top right corner to access the master center. The user can swipe down from the top left corner to access the notifications. The control center has shortcuts to a bunch of settings and apps like backlight, calculator, and many more.

The record application can be added to the control center to unlock some stunning new features. There is also an app for scanning papers that allows users to scan a document immediately to their phone and send it to someone. The MagSafe charger also comes with a bunch of supplementary accessories that add their own unique functionalities.

Next, to increase usability in the post-pandemic world, Apple has added a useful feature of being able to run Face ID even if the person is wearing a face mask. Face ID is Apple’s way of unlocking the phone using the front camera to scan a user’s face. Another useful feature added because of the pandemic is the exposure notification. This feature alerts users about an area where someone was exposed to COVID 19 and helps them stay protected.

The phone also comes with a feature that allows the user to change the layout of the phone. The blog post recommends going with Zedge, an app that has wallpapers as well as ringtones for iPhone. If the user taps and holds on the screen and gets into “jiggle” mode they would see dots at the bottom of the screen to sift through pages. The user can simply switch off any page they want. Tapping on the plus icon at the top left corner, the user can also add any of the widgets available with different size alternatives. The user can also drag them anywhere on the page to make them look good.

Those who want to capture a video on the camera can simply tap and hold to capture a video instead of selecting the video alternative. The blog post also talks about the burst shot mode available on iPhones. There is also a robust photo editing suite in the iPhone that makes editing pictures and video easy. There is a screen time feature for users to track how much time they are spending on the phone. The blog post also talks about the steps to take to set up an email account on the iPhone.
