South Portland based Fore River Brewing Company has launched Curbside pickup and home delivery services to serve customers in the city, as well as Portland, Cape Elizabeth, and nearby communities.

Fore River Brewing Company, a commercial brewery and locally recognized craft beer maker in South Portland, Maine, has launched their curbside pickup and home delivery service in South Portland, Portland, and nearby Greater Portland communities.

Fore River launched their delivery services to allow their growing customer base to enjoy their unique brews at home, especially in light of the current pandemic. The service is also available to customers who want to send Fore River beers as presents.
In addition, the brewery aims to reach as many customers as they can in Greater Portland, including residents of nearby Portland, Cape Elizabeth, Falmouth, Westbrook, Scarborough, and Gorham. Their recently launched delivery service gives them an opportunity to do that.
Customers may place their orders at Fore River’s online store, which features the brewery’s full range of signature products, including house ales, double IPAs, lagers, pilsners, and more. The beers may be purchased for home or curbside delivery with a minimum order of three 4-packs.
Select products are available for delivery in kegs. These include the brewery’s John Henry Milk Stout, Timberhitch Maine Red, and Rosa Rugose Fruited Gose. The Preble Strawberry Rhubarb Sour is available in 1/6 keg. (Keg availability is subject to change.)
Customers also have the option of picking up their orders at Fore River’s Park Avenue, South Portland location. The brewery’s tasting room on Huntress Avenue is currently closed due to the current pandemic.
Fore River was founded by Maine natives TJ Hansen and John LeGassey in 2015, and became the first commercial brewery to open in South Portland in over 100 years. In 2016, the company received recognition as the city’s Small Business of the Year.
In 2018, Fore River constructed their own coolship, which allowed the production of spontaneously fermented beer from wild yeast naturally growing in South Portland. To founders TJ and John, this was an important milestone that deepened the ties between the brewery and the city where it was born.
Since then, Fore River has grown its brewing facilities from 428 square feet to almost 9000 square feet to accommodate the growing demand for their brews.
