Gardena, Nov 20, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - Fred Jefferson Memorial Homes (FJMH) will give away free turkeys to more than 200 families who adopt and foster youth.

With many families dealing with financial strain due to the pandemic, FJMH and their team are providing relief with a Drive-thru Turkey Giveaway on November 20th from 1-3 pm. The giveaway will take place in the FJMH parking lot, located at 152 W. Walnut Street, # 150, Gardena, CA 90248. Maintaining COVID-19 safety local and state mandates, participants are asked to remain in their car as they drive through to receive a free turkey. The individuals distributing the donations will follow social distancing measures and masks will be required.

"This year has not been easy for people who still want to make a difference by fostering or adopting children," states Niquelle Lewis, FJMH Executive Director.  "While we strive to maintain a positive outlook for our current and prospective families, we have seen and heard the negative impact COVID-19 has brought to them. We are honored to give back to these families who have given the youth a safe and nurturing place to call home."
