VF Sportswear Inc., a subsidiary of VF Corporation (NYSE: VFC), announced that it has selected 7thOnline, Inc., a leading provider of assortment planning and optimization solutions to the apparel, footwear and accessories industries, to provide assortment planning and online showroom solutions for its branded lifestyle apparel. VF Sportswear, Inc. has begun implementing the solutions among its Nautica® and Kipling® brands.
7thOnline Assortment Planning enables VF Sportswear’s brands to prepare optimal assortment plans for retailers by individual retail location prior to going to market. VF Sportswear associates can share real-time plan information directly with retail buyers via an Internet browser to improve buying and inventory decisions.
“The 7thOnline Assortment Planning tool provides VF Sportswear a more efficient, proactive and accurate process for assortment planning as we build our lifestyle brands and retail relationships,” said Denise Seegal, President of VF Sportswear. “7thOnline enables us to cater to the specific and unique needs of our retail customers’ individual doors, ensuring the most productive placement of product.”
VF Sportswear also is implementing the 7thOnline eSHOWROOM tool to manage relationships with specialty retailers. eSHOWROOM provides buyers access to real-time product information and images, as well as the ability to transmit orders electronically.
