Holistic Cancer Support Center In Los Angeles Hires Naturopathic Doctor

A holistic cancer support center in Los Angeles, CA, led by Joe Sciabarrassi, MD, has announced their latest addition to team. Dr. Joe Sciabarrassi is proud to announce that Christian Gonzalez, ND, has recently joined the team. Dr. Gonzalez brings with him his experience and knowledge on integrative medicine, particularly integrative oncology, having completed a two-year residency at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Philadelphia, PA.

Joe Sciabarrassi, MD, says, “We are happy to announce that Dr. Gonzalez has accepted our offer to join our team. We believe that he has much to contribute to my practice, which is centered upon holistically based science, offered with compassion and insight. My goal is to create an effective and highly individualized, tailored program of healing for you – be it for hormonal balance, anxiety, depression, sleep disturbance, weight control, immune system problems, heart disease prevention or treatment, Lyme disease or other medical issues.”

Dr. Gonzalez has much to contribute to integrative medicine in Los Angeles because he became proficient in integrative oncology at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America through exposure to a range of disciplines and modalities. During his residency at the center, he was able to treat more than 700 patients and he had a long lasting impact on his patients, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. He was able to obtain his Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine at the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2014. During his training, Dr. Gonzalez underwent clinical rotations in general medicine, botanical, oncology, homeopathy, pediatrics and mind-body medicine, including a preceptorship at the NYU Langone Integrative Urology Center. He offers optimal patient care by incorporating naturopathic modalities, such as homeopathy, botanicals, nutrient and nutritional support, including several other therapeutics.

The holistic cancer support center offers treatment that integrates conventional and complementary therapies, often while patients are undergoing conventional medical treatment. One of the popular protocols that they offer for cancer support is customized IV therapy. Their IV therapy is made up of permutations of vitamin C drips, Myers’ Cocktail, and others like glutathione, amino acid, phosphatidylcholine, and other IV therapies based on nutrients.

According to Dr. Joe Sciabarrassi, the key to effective IV therapy is having the various ingredients in the right amounts for a particular condition in a specific patient. Thus, every treatment is customized for each individual patient.

IV drip therapies available at the Los Angeles clinic include Myers mix, Myers IV, ozone IVs, immune booster, detoxification IV, glutathione, chelation, airline and travel protection IV, pre and post surgery IV, vision support IV, vitality and regeneration formula, full-dose vitamin-mineral formula, homeopathic infusions, electrolyte and rehydration IV, and phosphatidylcholine.

Meanwhile, the clinic also offers bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) for Los Angeles residents. Dr. Sciabarrassi explains that BHRT is appropriate for women suffering from sleep disruption, loss of vitality, emotional reactivity, hair thinning, loss of libido, night sweats, getting up at night to use the bathroom, day sweats, hot flashes, dry and painful intercourse, negative outlook, tired all the time, increasing weight that is not affected by diet and exercise, aging skin, and bone loss.

For men, BHRT is appropriate for those who are suffering from weight gain, loss of motivation, loss of assertiveness, declining physical stamina, and loss of erections. As implied by the name, this therapy makes use of hormones that are identical to those produced by the body. Thus, BHRT is basically adding these essential molecules back into the body to help protect people from the diseases of aging.

Dr. Joe Sciabarrassi has been practicing functional, holistic and integrative medicine for more than 25 years. He obtained a BS in Biology with a minor in Theology at Georgetown University and he completed his Masters in Microbiology at the George Washington University, where he also graduated from the School of Medicine. His training in alternative and traditional medicine included work with experts such as Dr. Anita Cignolini, Dr. Milton Erikson, Dr. Rosalyn Bruyere, and the Hahnemann College of Homeopathy.
