Cincinnati Nuns On The Bus Endorses Yes On Issue 1 Will Strengthen Families And Make Communities Safer

COLUMBUS – The Cincinnati Nuns On The Bus chapter endorsed a Yes Vote on Issue 1 today.

“We do not view this as a partisan issue. It is an issue of justice and compassion that will strengthen our families and make our communities safer. We simply cannot imprison every Ohioan who suffers from addiction or arrest our way out of this horrible opioid crisis,” said Sister Carren Herring of the Cincinnati Nuns On The Bus.

“We thank Sister Herring and the Cincinnati Nuns On The Bus for their endorsement. Faith leaders are in the trenches every day, and they understand first-hand that we need to increase the opportunity for treatment while making our communities safer,” said Dennis Willard, a spokesman for the Yes on Issue 1 campaign. Those interested can visit their Facebook page for more information about the campaign.
