American Hero, Trae the Truth took the stage for the first time, at this years 2017 World Series event, at Houston's 'Minute Maid Park.'
You may have seen Houston, Texas Rap Star lately on every major news station from CNN, to FOX news as he helped tirelessly rescuing Hurricane Harvey victims from drowning in floods, to now adopting numerous homes and rebuilding them.
For the last 72 days, 7 days a week, 'Trae the Truth' who is also the reigning new President, of rapper T.I.'s 'Grand Hustle Records' has made it his mission with his non profit organization "Angel By Nature; Relief Gang" to restore Houston and aid in relief to other Hurricane Victims; moving them from helpless to hopeful.
Everyday for the last 2 months; Mr. Truth decided to put everything on hold, including promotion of his new album 'Tha Truth part 3'. and other responsibilities as he incessantly jumped in to action to help those in need. "People were dying and needed help and that was more important than anything else I had going on, and we're not stopping no time soon," he says.
Trae has become 'Houston's American Hero' as he personally goes out to the most devastated and poorest communities daily to give out thousands of donations. Even physically working countless hours doing demolition work, while feeding and clothing thousands of people in affected communities.
Just last week you could catch him walking door to door asking people if they need help with anything, to handing out hundreds of mattresses, making multiple runs to home depot to personally buy sheet rock and tools, to pulling up with several Uhaul's filled to capacity at welfare offices with lines spanning over 8,000 people waiting to simply get food.
Trae has even brought together some of the biggest household names from around the world to help. Even the conglomerate mega company McDonalds (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bsf7quCUCdo) has partnered up with Trae because of his years of humanitarian work in the community for over a decade.
On any given day, without the cameras or press you could find anyone from Beyonce, Estelle, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Derrick Lewis (UFC Heavyweight Champion), Ty Dolla $ign, Bun B, to Deandre Jordan (LA Clippers) just to name a few; all who have come to his side to support and volunteer as apart of his Relief Gang.
Recently he made headlines as he adopted his 5th school district in Port Arthur; As he and his partner Dj Mr. Rogers donated $10,000 to buy every child a new uniform since most had lost everything in the floods.
In addition to his heart for Houston; Trae has also sent over 3 truckloads of storage containers filled with food and non perishable items and 10 truckloads of clothing to Mexico. Not to mention; Over 4,000 pounds of food, clothing and over 2,000 flashlights to Puerto Rico being that they were without power. He also sent thousands of water purifiers to St Croix, St Thomas, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
Trae the Truth is not only one of the most respected rappers in history; he has a heart of Gold. Raising over $350,000.00 in Relief aid alone; whereas 100% of all proceeds go to towards helping people in need around the country.
