ORLAND PARK, Ill. - Nov. 20, 2015 - PRLog -- Climate Change, Land Use and Monetary Policy: The New Trifecta by Geraldine Perry was selected as an Award-Winning Finalist in the “Social Change” category for The 2015 USA Best Books Awards. This competition, now in its 12th year, is sponsored by USA Book News, the premier online magazine featuring mainstream and independent publishing houses.

Jeffery Keen, President and CEO of USA Book News, said this year's competition yielded over 2000 entries from which some 400 winners and finalists were selected. Major publishing houses that contributed to this year's contest included Random House, WW Norton, Harper Collins, William Morrow, John Wiley & Sons, HarperOne, Tarcher/Penguin, McGraw-Hill along with hundreds of Independent Houses.

Gib Halverson of the Robert Schalkenbach Foundation remarks that “Climate Change, Land Use and Monetary Policy: The New Trifecta by Geraldine Perry offers a fresh perspective on a complicated subject. Her unconventional but well thought out take on familiar topics offers an opportunity for both believers and skeptics of climate change to think anew. . . [The author] knits together climate change, land use and monetary policy in a new and enlightened way.” Described variously as being “extremely well written,” “thoughtful and provocative” and a “fascinating treatise,” Climate Change, Land Use and Monetary Policy has been recognized with three previous awards. These include the Spring 2014 NABE Pinnacle Book Achievement Award in the category of Environment, a Finalist Award also in the category of Environment for the 2015 National Indie Excellence Book Awards and an Honorable Mention in the Nonfiction Ebook category for the 2015 Eric Hoffer Book Awards.

Geraldine Perry has a Master's Degree in Education and an undergraduate minor in Library Science. Her subsequent training as a Certified Natural Health Consultant led to an increased interest in agriculture and the environment, and ultimately to the need for systemic monetary reform. Climate Change, Land Use and Monetary Policy: The New Trifecta is her second book. The first was The Two Faces of Money, co-authored with Ken Fousek.
