New Seattle Firm Joins Securian Financial Network

Brandon Redman is the newest associate managing partner in the nationwide Securian Financial Network of advisory firms, Securian Advisors Northwest.

Redman has 14 years of experience as an advisor and sales director, first with Met Life, then Mass Mutual. When he decided to open his own firm, he looked for an affiliation that provides the right balance of support and independence.

“Securian’s relationship with its career advisory firms has a very independent feel,” he said. “We set our own priorities and determine our own style while receiving support in critical areas such as compliance and recruiting.” And, though Securian firms can adopt independent brands, Redman chose to align his brand with Securian’s.

“I want clients and advisor candidates to understand that Securian Advisors Northwest is affiliated with an exceptional company,” he said.

Advisor shortage
The financial services industry faces a critical shortage of financial advisors. The current average advisor age is over 50, according to LIMRA, a national life insurance trade association. Financial services providers are scrambling to meet the demand for advice as boomers retire and seek assistance with managing their money in retirement.

Securian’s unique model for recruiting advisors and firms has met with consistent success.

“We combine the characteristics of a strong career system with the capabilities of an independent platform,” said Tony Martins, vice president, Individual Career Distribution. “We work with locally-owned firms who establish their own brands and we back them with the resources and expertise of a national network.”

“There’s no better career,” said Redman. “Helping clients position themselves for financial security no matter what obstacles life throws at them is a wonderful combination of impact, reward, freedom and flexibility.”

Securian Advisors Northwest is located at 601 Union Street, Suite 4200, Seattle, WA, 206-652-3315.

Since 1880, Securian Financial Group and its affiliates have provided financial security for individuals and businesses in the form of insurance, investments and retirement plans. Now one of the nation’s largest financial services providers, it is the holding company parent of a group of companies that offer a broad range of financial services.
