Non-Profit Boards Welcome Securian Employees

Neighborhood House and the Minnesota Private College Council recently added Securian executives to their boards of directors.

After volunteering for many years as an English Language Learner volunteer instructor at Neighborhood House, Sarah Sanfilippo, president, Securian Trust Company, joined the organization’s board of directors. She also is a member of the Greater Twin Cities United Way Women’s Leadership Council and has served as a United Way Ambassador for Securian’s annual campaign.

Neighborhood House is a 118-year-old St. Paul nonprofit whose mission is to help people, families and organizations develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to thrive in diverse communities. Neighborhood House serves immigrants, refugees, and long-term residents with basic needs and lifelong learning opportunities to help families move out of poverty toward economic stability.

Kathy Pinkett, senior vice president, Human Resources and Corporate Services, joined the board of the Minnesota Private College Council and Minnesota Private College Fund. The Council serves 17 nonprofit colleges and universities with almost 60,000 students. For more than 50 years, Securian has donated to the Fund, which provides operating support to the 17 colleges and scholarships for their students.

Nearly 100 Securian employees serve on the boards of nonprofit organizations in the St. Paul, MN area.
