Partnership broadens Ground Control’s music business management platform nationwide, strengthens touring and royalty services, and marks its first out-of-state U.S. acquisition

(Wiles + Taylor), a music-focused business management and tax consulting firm serving touring artists, songwriters, and industry executives.

The transaction expands Ground Control’s music business management capabilities by adding specialized touring and royalty expertise and extending the firm’s U.S. footprint beyond California. It accelerates the firm’s strategy to build a nationally recognized music business management platform while maintaining its relationship-driven culture.

Founded in 1986 by the late Gary Smith, Wiles + Taylor provides business management services tailored to the financial and operational needs of the music industry, advising clients on complex touring structures, global revenue tracking and accounting, royalty income and catalog transactions, and insurance and risk considerations tied to domestic and international touring. With the addition of Wiles + Taylor’s Nashville-based team, including partners Steve Eggart and Kevin Dalton, it will enhance Ground Control’s expertise in supporting artists across personal finances, touring operations, and global activity, and further establish music as a core vertical within the platform.
