The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute with respect to their recent data breach. On February 21, 2024, Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute was informed that its third-party service provider, Advarra, Inc., had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal information belonging to Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute patients may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Advarra determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information on October 25, 2023. The personal information that was potentially exposed includes the following: individuals name, Social Security number and date of birth.
