Item 8.01 Other Events
     On April 10, 2009, the Board of Trustees of Entertainment Properties Trust (the “Company”) nominated Jack A. Newman, Jr., to the Board of Trustees to fill the seat currently held by Morgan G. Earnest, II, whose term of service on the Board will expire at this year’s annual meeting or until his successor is duly elected and qualified. The Board intends to appoint Mr. Earnest as Chief Investment Officer of the Company, which is expected to occur on or about April 30, 2009. The Company is currently negotiating the terms of Mr. Earnest’s employment which are expected to be finalized and disclosed by an additional Form 8-K at the time of his appointment.
