(c) Effective April 2, 2008, James W. Cruckshank was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of The Greenbrier Companies, Inc.
          Mr. Cruckshank served as Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Administration and Secretary of MathStar, Inc. since June 2005. He was Chief Financial Officer of Synetics Solutions, Inc. from March 2004 to April 2005. He was an independent consultant from April 2003 to March 2004, specializing in financing, restructuring and business development. Prior to that, he was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Christenson Electric, Inc., Vice President of Finance of Assisted Living Concepts Inc., and Corporate Controller and Assistant Treasurer of The Schnitzer Group.
          A copy of the press release issued by The Greenbrier Companies, Inc. regarding the appointment of Mr. Cruckshank is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein.
