frequent traveler, you may have heard about Boeings new widebody aircraft, the 787 Dreamliner.
Continental has ordered 25 Dreamliners, which will provide unparalleled customer comfort and be
significantly more fuel-efficient than comparable aircraft. The Dreamliner will help us open up new
routes around the globe for Continental travelers.
Recently, we became the first airline in the world to announce initial route plans for Boeing 787
Dreamliners, when we announced nonstop service between our hub in Houston and Auckland, New
Zealand, on November 16, 2011, subject to government approval.
Auckland isnt Houstons only newly announced destination: weve also announced plans to start
nonstop service between Houston and Lagos, Nigeria, November 10, 2011, subject to government
approval. This flight will link two energy capitals and fill the growing demand for nonstop service
between the two cities.
We are excited to continue to expand our international route network from Houston by adding nonstop
service to Lagos and Auckland. The success of both routes will be helped by traffic flows generated
from our announced merger with United Airlines.
