Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain

On July 12, 2010, Steve V. Yenser, Executive Vice President Retail Leasing and Asset Management
Officer of Cousins Properties Incorporated (the Company), notified the Company that he is
resigning effective July 23, 2010. Mr. Yenser remains eligible to receive a portion of his 2010
annual incentive cash award representing the portion of the year that he served, as determined in
the discretion of the Compensation, Succession, Nominating and Governance Committee, and paid
consistent with the time that such bonuses are paid to the other executive officers.
