ITEM 8.01.		Other Events

On May 22, 2008, Asta Funding, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that its management team will conduct an investor day on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 in New York City. The event is to begin at 9:00AM EDT and anticipated to conclude by 11:00AM EDT. A copy of the slide show Investor Presentation is being furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K. Additionally, the Company plans to discuss that its total bank debt, as of today June 11, 2008, is approximately $260.6 million, down from $269.0 million on May 19, 2008.
