Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
On February 22, 2006, New York Mortgage Trust, Inc. (the “Company”) announced in a press
release that it will report financial results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2005 after
the close of market on Tuesday, March 7, 2006. On Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern,
the Company’s executive management will host a conference call and audio webcast highlighting the
Company’s fourth quarter financial results. Information with respect to accessing the conference
