(1)	The reporting person's Form 4, filed on August 11, 2016, inadvertently reported that 63,750 shares were beneficially owned following the reported transaction, whereas 30,533 was the correct number of shares that were beneficially owned following the reported transaction.
(2)	Prior to the date (August 11, 2016) of the reporting person's last ownership report, Mr. Guericke transferred 33,217 shares of ESS common stock to his ex-wife pursuant to a domestic relations order. The reporting person no longer reports as beneficially owned any such securities owned by his ex-wife.
(3)	The reporting person's Form 4, filed on August 11, 2016, inadvertently reported that 58,570 shares were beneficially owned following the reported transaction, whereas 25,533 was the correct number of shares that were beneficially owned following the reported transaction.
