The Board of Directors of The Valspar Corporation, at its meeting on August 19, 2009, elected Gary E. Hendrickson, as a director in Class III. Mr. Hendrickson was elected Valspar’s President and Chief Operating Officer on February 27, 2008. He was not named to any standing committee of the Board of Directors.
