Item 8.01. Other Events.


     On September 20, 2004, Ampco-Pittsburgh Corporation issued a
press release announcing that its Union Electric Steel facility
was damaged by the flooding caused by Hurricane Ivan.  A copy of
the press release is attached hereto and is being furnished to
the SEC.
