ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE MARKET

CPFL Energia S.A. (“Company”) (BM&FBOVESPA: CPFE3, NYSE: CPL) announces to its shareholders and the market at large that on March 8 2010, José Antonio de Almeida Filippo will be leaving the Company where he is currently Chief Financial and Investor Relations Officer, a post to which he was appointed pursuant to the Board of Directors Meeting held on April 29 2009.

As from March 9 2010, Wilson P. Ferreira Junior, the Company’s Chief Executive Officer, will assume the position of Chief Financial and Investor Relations Officer on an interim basis.
