Item 8.01 Other Events.
Colony Capital, Inc. (the Company), through an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of its operating company, Colony Capital Operating Company, LLC (the CCOC Investor), formed an investment vehicle (the REIT Securities Venture) with total callable capital commitments of approximately $115 million. The CCOC Investor holds an approximate 4.4% interest in the REIT Securities Venture, with third-party partners holding the balance. The REIT Securities Venture targets for investment purposes the common stock and preferred stock of publicly traded U.S. real estate investment trusts, including securities of the Company.
