Item 8.01 Other Events.
On October 24, 2013, Omeros Corporation, or Omeros, received a payment of $12.5 million from Carolina Casualty Insurance Company, or CCIC, pursuant to the terms of a settlement agreement and release dated October 2, 2013 among Omeros, CCIC and Gregory A. Demopulos, M.D., Omeros’ president, chief executive officer and chairman. Omeros previously reported the settlement agreement and release in the Current Report on Form 8-K it filed on October 3, 2013.
