Kent Roberts, age 61, the Executive Vice President and Director of Human Resources of Columbia Banking System, Inc. (the “Company”) and its wholly owned subsidiary, Columbia State Bank, has advised the Company that he will retire effective June 30, 2013. Melanie Dressel, the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer, stated “Kent has been a significant contributor to the growth and success of the Company. His leadership, experience and presence will be greatly missed. All of us at Columbia wish Kent the best in his well-earned retirement.” The Company’s search for Mr. Robert’s successor is underway.
