Attached is an English translation of the summary of the letter dated July 24, 2009, filed by the Company with the Bolsa de Comercio de Buenos Aires and the Comisión Nacional de Valores:
By letter dated July 24, 2009, the Company reported that its 100% Subsidiary Agrology, in order to strengthen the Company’s strategic assets, has acquired under a private transaction with effective settlement and payment date as of July 24, 2009 the amount of 1,190,159 common shares and 323,528 GDRs of IRSA Inversiones y Representaciones Sociedad Anónima (“IRSA”), for a total amount of Ps. 8,109,805.
Therefore, the Company’s direct and indirect interest in IRSA reached a 56.01%.
