Attached is an English translation of the summary of the letter dated on April 17, 2006 filed by Company with the Bolsa de Comercio de Buenos Aires and the Comisión Nacional de Valores:

By letter dated April 17, 2006, the Company reported the conversion of 15,958,011 Convertible Notes of IRSA Inversiones y Representaciones S.A. (“IRSA”), face value US$ 1 each. As a result of that conversion the Company increased its shareholding in 29,280,754 IRSA’s ordinary shares. Hence, our equity interest in IRSA goes from 87,025,013 to 116,305,767, which represents 22.6 % and 28.1 % respectively. The conversion was performed according to terms and conditions established in the prospectus of issuance at the conversion rate of 1.83486 shares, face value pesos 1 per Convertible Note of face value US$ 1.
