In view of the increase in the trading prices of A shares of Aluminum Corporation of China Limited* (the "Company") on 28 and 29 September 2010 reaching the specified limit of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the Company hereby makes a statement that save for the following event, it is not aware of any reasons for such increase in the prices of A shares of the Company. |
Upon consultation with Aluminum Corporation of China ("Chinalco"), the controlling shareholder of the Company, the Company has been notified that Chinalco entered into the Agreement Relating to Increase of Capital of and Subscription of Shares in Jiangxi Rare Earth and Rare Metals Tungsten Group Corporation with the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Jiangxi Province on 26 September 2010. Pursuant to the agreement, subject to the approval of the Jiangxi Provincial Government, Chinalco will inject funds into Jiangxi Rare Earth and Rare Metals Tungsten Group Corporation by way of capital increase and share subscription and will become its controlling shareholder. |
Chinalco is the controlling shareholder of the Company holding directly and indirectly approximately 41.82% of the total issued share capital of the Company. |
The board of directors of the Company further states that the Company is not a party to the above transaction. As at the date hereof, the Company has not participated in the above transaction. |
