On December 19, 2007, AMAG Pharmaceuticals, Inc. issued a press release announcing the filing of a New Drug Application with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for marketing approval of ferumoxytol as an intravenous treatment of iron deficiency anemia in patients with chronic kidney disease.
