Item 8.01 Other Events.
Crompton Corporation announced today that Mr. Alfred F. Ingulli, Executive Vice President, Crop Protection, has elected to retire, effective December 31, 2004, and that Mr. Marcus Meadows-Smith will succeed him on January 1, 2005, holding the same position. A copy of a press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
