ITEM 8.01    OTHER EVENTS

On June 30, 2008, j2 Global Communications, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it filed three separate patent-infringement lawsuits against Protus IP Solutions Inc., Captaris, Inc. and EasyLink Services International Corporation. The Company is seeking monetary damages for past infringement and injunctive relief prohibiting Protus, Captaris and EasyLink from continuing to infringe the patents, among other remedies.  A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K.
