Item 2.02 Results of Operations and Financial Condition.
On November 8, 2007, Citizens, Inc. (“Citizens”) issued a news release (the “Release”) reporting,
among other things, results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2007. A copy of the Release
is included as Exhibit 99.6 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and incorporated herein by
reference. The Company also announced that it would hold a conference call to discuss its
financial results at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Monday, November 12, 2007.
