According to the announcement, Mark Gilbert, MD, will be joining the board, bringing board membership to eight. A scientist emeritus at the National Institutes of Health (“NIH”), Gilbert served as chief of the neurooncology branch at NIH for a decade. During that time, Gilbert facilitated a team of laboratory and clinical investigators involved in groundbreaking research that advanced science in the brain tumor field.
