Rivera spent eight years as the Executive Vice President and General Counsel for the Seattle Mariners, serving on the senior leadership team overseeing business strategy and operations. His portfolio included ownership and corporate transactions, people and culture, legal and government relations, and community investment. He also spearheaded the team’s real estate development strategy, leading to the launch of an innovative entertainment development known as The Boxyard. Rivera served on the board of directors and supported oversight of the Mariners-owned regional sports network, ROOT SPORTS.
Before joining the Mariners, Rivera built a distinguished 25-year career as an executive leader and attorney. He served as Managing Partner of the largest law firm office in the Pacific Northwest and held a senior leadership and corporate officer role at a Fortune 50 company. Rivera has significant board director experience with public, private, and non-profit organizations.
