Mr. Feinberg brings over 30 years of portfolio management, investment, consulting, and C-level operating experience with a specialization in optimizing enterprise value in both growth and turnaround situations.
Before joining Star Mountain, Mr. Feinberg was a Partner, Managing Director, and Co-Practice Leader within the Private Equity Performance Improvement Group at Alvarez & Marsal ("A&M"). Over 16 years, he played a key role in building and managing one of the leading portfolio optimization and restructuring businesses. At A&M, Mr. Feinberg held multiple interim C-suite roles, including CEO, President, COO, and CFO, across a diverse range of companies owned by leading private equity firms in the U.S. and Europe.
During his tenure at A&M, Mr. Feinberg was seconded to Angelo Gordon for two years as an Operating Partner, where he oversaw portfolio monitoring, investment evaluation, strategic planning, and C-suite talent management. Additionally, he has worked with other prominent private equity firms such as Sun Capital Partners and InvestIndustrial Advisors, where he served as a Senior Operating Partner responsible for U.S. portfolio companies and global real estate activities.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Feinberg held leadership roles at Solomon Equities and Powell Equities and served as COO & CFO of Mannor Corporation, formerly the largest privately held trouser manufacturer in the U.S. He also served as the Chief Transformation Officer at Bridgewater Associates, the world’s largest hedge fund, overseeing strategic planning, budgeting, and company-wide procurement.
