WESLEYAN IMPACT PARTNERS NAMES REV. DR. ALEZE M. FULBRIGHT AND REV. WILLIAM H. LAMAR IV AS BOARD MEMBERS

Two Nationally Recognized Leaders Known for Empowering the Church

Wesleyan Impact Partners announces the naming of Rev. Dr. Aleze M. Fulbright and Rev. William H. Lamar IV to its board, two nationally recognized leaders and innovators with a history of energizing and empowering leaders across the Wesleyan ecosystem. Both new board members bring a rich tapestry of experience and perspective to deepen the positive impact of Wesleyan Impact Partners on the churches, nonprofits, and communities it serves across the United States.

Rev. Dr. Aleze M. Fulbright is a dynamic leader, preacher, and ordained elder in The United Methodist Church. Deeply committed to the church’s mission, she works to create spaces of spiritual renewal and empowerment and is committed to encouraging and equipping all people to live out their God-givenness.

Currently, Rev. Dr. Fulbright is the Secretary of the General Conference of The United Methodist Church where she oversees the administration, coordination, and facilitation of the General Conference, the highest legislative body of the UMC.

Rev. Dr. Fulbright earned a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Leadership from Houston Graduate School of Theology, and prior to entering full-time ministry in 2008, she had a career in accounting.

“I am excited to join Wesleyan Impact Partners and its work in continuing the movement of the Spirit with empowering congregations and communities around the country,” said Rev. Dr. Aleze M. Fulbright. “In this season, it is good to know that all can be seen, known, and resourced.”

Rev. William H. Lamar IV is the pastor of the Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church in Washington, DC. Rev. Lamar IV earned a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School in 1999 and was ordained as an itinerant elder in 2000 at the Florida Annual Conference of the AME Church. Rev. Lamar IV has also served congregations in Monticello, Orlando, and Jacksonville, Florida, as well as Hyattsville, Maryland.

Lamar is honored to serve the Metropolitan AME Church, where he seeks daily to extend the cathedral of African Methodism’s nearly two centuries-long legacy of bearing witness to and ushering into this world the reign of the living God.

"There is simple but great power in bringing people and their stories together around a table,” said Rev. William H. Lamar IV. "I’m excited to support Wesleyan Impact Partners as it sparks imagination, inspiring love and belonging around tables across the country."

For nearly 15 years, Rev. Lamar IV has also been actively involved in faith-based community organizing for justice, working with organizations like Direct Action Research Training (DART), Industrial Areas Foundations (IAF), and Washington Interfaith Network (WIN).

"These two leaders bring extraordinary gifts and experience to our ministry, as we seek to strengthen the church’s mission,” said Rev. Lisa Greenwood, president and CEO of Wesleyan Impact Partners. “Their blend of visionary thinking and commitment to renewal and flourishing for individuals and neighborhoods inspires leaders across the church landscape, and we are honored they’ve joined our Board.”
