Women in Technology (WIT) Announces 2024-2025 Board of Directors

Women in Technology (WIT), the premier organization contributing to the advancement and success of professional women in the Washington, D.C. metro area technology community, today announced its 2024-2025 Board of Directors.

Serving the educational, professional, and personal needs of women in the technology industry through interactive programming and inspiring connections, WIT’s leadership is dedicated to advancing women from the classroom to the boardroom. Succeeding Immediate Past President Julie Murphy is Lisa Shea Mundt, Co-Founder of The Pulse of GovCon, a research and advisory firm dedicated to the empowerment of government contractors.

Mundt has over a decade of experience in federal proposal development and procurement trend analysis and reporting, supporting more than 200 proposal efforts totaling billions of dollars in wins across a multitude of government agencies and departments. In addition to leading Accelerate(her), one of WIT’s proudest organizations, Mundt was awarded with WIT’s President’s Award in 2022 for her ongoing commitment and contributions to the organization. An avid writer, Mundt is pursuing her PhD in Writing and Rhetoric from George Mason University and sits on the board of James Madison University’s Federal Dukes alumni chapter.

“I’m thrilled to step into this role to help further our mission to advance women in technology. As the previous leader of WIT’s Accelerate(her) program, I’ve already witnessed firsthand the importance of women-led professional development, mentorship, and networking programs for our more than 1,000 members,” said Mundt. “WIT is committed to strengthening these valuable resources for women in the D.C. metro area, especially in a time when new technology frontiers like generative AI, cybersecurity, and quantum computing shake up the industry. It is through these initiatives that we will ensure women’s ongoing inclusion in all areas of technology and industry leadership.”

Women in Technology’s leadership is comprised of a dedicated team of women professionals committed to empowering women to be architects of change in the technology industry.
