Schueler will work closely with East Rock’s investment and operations teams to serve key relationships and expand access to the firm’s resources and investment services.

“Alex has an extraordinary ability to convene world-class talent in settings that promote meaningful relationship-building, debate, and idea generation,” said East Rock’s Managing Partner Adam Shapiro. “She will be a tremendous asset to East Rock’s unique community of business families and investment managers. We are thrilled to have her.”

Schueler joins East Rock from the Milken Institute, where she was a senior member of the Business & Program Development team, responsible for sourcing and managing significant relationships with private equity firms, hedge funds, banks, multinational corporations, and individual philanthropists. She built the Institute’s highly regarded South Florida Dialogue series and founded the Forum for Family Asset Management, a network of CIOs of single-family offices.

In her seven years at the Milken Institute, Schueler also launched the Institute’s New York and Miami offices and raised substantial philanthropic capital for other Milken family initiatives such as the Prostate Cancer Foundation. Prior to the Milken Institute, Schueler worked in sales, marketing, and client services at Guggenheim Securities and Lord Abbett.

Schueler will be based in Miami and maintain an affiliation with the Milken Institute as a Senior Advisor.
