“At its heart Teton Ridge is committed to strengthening and enriching Western culture,” said Lindsay Weinstock of the Teton Ridge Foundation. “But empowering and impacting the communities around us is essential to our core values and the USO plays such an integral role in serving and making a lasting impact on U.S service members and their families throughout their time in uniform. Our team is devoted to bringing awareness to the important work they do every day and enhancing the awareness of audiences on an even greater level through our platforms.”
Throughout the weekend in Arlington, eventgoers will have the ability to interact with the USO team onsite and learn more about the impactful work being done at activations throughout Globe Life Field. In addition, Teton Ridge will integrate the USO into its live, national broadcast as well as invite and host a group of select local military service members and their families to immerse themselves in all of the western sports action, behind-the-scenes tours, athlete meet and greets and more.
Since 1941, the USO has been the nation’s leading organization to serve the men and women in the U.S. military, and their families, throughout their time in uniform. The support from their favorite entertainers strengthens service members and their families by keeping them connected to the people, places, and things they love. The USO teams up with some of our country's biggest athletes to provide meet-and-greet opportunities and supports other interactive events for our service members at home and overseas.
“We are grateful to Teton Ridge for its partnership and support of the USO. The American Western Weekend is a wonderful opportunity to bring awareness to both Western culture and the mission of the USO in supporting the men and women of the Armed Forces and their families," said Gary Cole, USO Central Region President. “Being a service member is an around-the-world, around-the-clock duty. Partnering with organizations like Teton Ridge and events like The American Western Weekend amplify our efforts to remind those who serve that they are loved and supported, no matter where they are,” added Cole.
Acquired by Teton Ridge in late 2021, The American Rodeo, celebrating its 10th year on Saturday, March 11, features competitors in all eight traditional rodeo disciplines where fans can root for the underdog “Contenders” chasing a $1 million bonus or the professional athletes defending their champion status in the ultimate high-stakes showdown.
Elevated from year’s past when the iconic event dominated just a single day, The American Western Weekend now features four days of action-packed entertainment, star-studded music, Western festival and much more.
Included in the sweeping weekend of Western celebration, for the first time ever, the top five year-end money earning professionals from the NRCHA, NCHA and the NRHA will also come together at the 42,000-seat Globe Life Field competing for $1,000,000 in prize money at The American Performance Horseman on Friday, March 10.
