UNIONDALE, NY / ACCESS Newswire / August 25, 2025 / Marquis Who's Who honors Mark Carroll as a top industry leader. Mr. Carroll is an enterprise Agile coach and the author of "Collaborate Better!"

About Mr. Mark Carroll
Mr. Carroll was raised by a single mother, Florence, who taught him the importance of resilience and working well with others. He considered her a valuable mentor until she passed from pancreatic cancer. Drawing on his educational background in theater and improvisation, Mr. Carroll developed strong communication and collaboration skills that would prove essential to his career. He has always made it a point to establish strong partnerships throughout his professional journey.
"My success has always been tied to ensuring that the right people have the right conversations at the right time," says Mr. Carroll.
Mr. Carroll asserts that if a person doesn't have the right people in the room, it will lead to unsuccessful outcomes. It's important to have stakeholders be a part of the process at the right time and to focus on what is meaningful in those conversations. Mr. Carroll has practiced making sure the timing is appropriate and concentrating only on actionable points, which has enabled him to position his team and himself for success.
This philosophy has guided Mr. Carroll's approach to building strategic relationships throughout his career. Through networking, he has collaborated with such companies as Eliassen in Boston, as well as the Boston Consulting Group.
Embracing Methodologies and Working Diligently
In the D.C. metro area, he worked with LitheSpeed, where he built relationships with Roland Cuellar. Mr. Cuellar introduced Mr. Carroll to several transformative methodologies, including techniques like Value Streams, which was originally developed by Taiichi Ohnowith Toyota for manufacturing. Value Stream Mapping shows every step of work so you can spot inefficiencies and streamline the flow, ensuring the customer's objectives are met faster and with less waste.
Mr. Carroll embraced these and more advanced techniques while implementing them in his workspace. He was also taught by Mr. Cuellar how to elevate his consulting skills, teaching him how to ask leading questions that inspired discussions and insightful answers from others.
Mr. Carroll became an adviser, product manager and Agile coach after the Agile Manifesto was established in 2001. Armed with extensive certifications, including PMP, multiple SAFe credentials and numerous Scrum Alliance certifications, Mr. Carroll has served as a Lean + Agile Practitioner, consultant and coach at the USCIS, DHS, Boston Consulting Group, and the Federal Reserve. In addition, he also served as a transformation lead at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.
Mr. Carroll and his team were with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency when there were coordinated cyberattacks against nuclear power plants in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. The escalating and coordinated attacks were an attempt to destabilize the operations and nuclear cores. The team worked diligently to counter the attack and was successful in thwarting the attackers and stopping a disaster. This event stands out to him as one of the most notable moments of his career.
Looking to the Future
In addition to his Substack, Mr. Carroll is soon to be a published author with the upcoming book, "Collaborate Better: From Silos to Synergy - How to Build Unstoppable Teams," a guide designed for frustrated managers and disillusioned team players who know work could be better but don't know how to fix it. Drawing on decades of experience coaching organizations through complex challenges, he provides a practical playbook to break down silos, spark real collaboration, and help professionals elevate their careers by every measure of success-team impact, leadership credibility, and organizational results. Far more than theory, "Collaborate Better" equips readers with actionable strategies to turn fractured groups into aligned, unstoppable teams.
With his unique blend of technical expertise, communication skills and collaborative leadership, Mr. Carroll continues to guide organizations and individuals toward more effective ways of working together.
