Donald Trump's Impersonation Of The Pope Is Blasphemous Says Elizabeth Graham, Bestselling Author Of From Democracy To Democrazy

Kirkus Professional Book Reviewers said: "Graham's new book is an intriguing and informative 'must read' from a woman who is probably the best-informed American on the terrifying realities concerning Vladimir Putin's motivations . . . "

WILMINGTON, NC, May 16, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bestselling author Elizabeth Graham is an American who became a Russian and then returned to the U.S. with a warning for all Americans. The ebook version of her top-selling book, from 'Democracy to Democrazy', will be available at Amazon at no charge May 19 and May 20, 2025.

In a recent article posted on Substack, she wrote in part:

Charlie Sykes, is an American political commentator and the former editor-in-chief The Bulwark said: " On hearing the news of the first American pope, my first thought was of the election of the first Polish pope. In 1978, Poland — and all of Europe — was on the brink when the cardinals selected Karol Józef Wojtyła, who became John Paul II. It's now 2025 and America is on the brink (due to the same type of Russian aggression), and the Church has chosen Leo XIV. In 1978, Poland was facing an aggressive but declining Soviet Union, and it is hard to overstate the importance the Polish pope played in the fall of that empire. His selection was one of the great pivotal points of history; a reminder of the power of moral authority and courage."

Many of us in the United States are still reeling from the photo posted by the White House of Donald Trump dressed in a white cassock, a zucchetto, a chasuble, and a pectoral gold cross suspended from a gold cord – attempting to impersonate the Pope. This was his ignorant effort to "capitalize on" the recent death of Pope Francis and the Conclave search for his replacement. The vast difference between these two men - Donald Trump and Pope Leo XIV - cannot be understated - the first is a convicted criminal/swindler and the second is a man whose dedication to morality sets a standard for ethical beliefs worldwide.

Mr. Trump is a con man from New York, and like all scam artists his cards will eventually fall. Written by David Marks and printed in Aljazeera (July 9, 2024) this article states, "A classic saying that originated in New York conveys a clear message 'If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you.' This exaggerated criticism of a naïve viewpoint was born when a renowned con artist made a fortune selling the Brooklyn Bridge.' George C. Parker repeatedly marketed the span between Manhattan and Brooklyn, sometimes twice in one week. . . he hawked elaborately forged deeds to unwitting buyers, making a fortune from public property. The gullible realized they'd been swindled only while trying to erect toll booths. The police interceded and ended their brief delusion." It is too bad that the Trump scams are not as easily distinguishable.

Marks goes on to say, "Con artists weave their lies with a smirk and a wink, and a coax combined with a pied piper's tune. They lead their quarry astray with smooth talk but are essentially vulgar and abusive, concocting sinister plans and secretly mocking those who fall for their scams." (Ibid) There have been other notable con artists from New York. William Thompson, Charles Ponzi, Anna Sorokin, and of course Bernie Madoff. He defrauded thousands of investors out of nearly $65 billion dollars. New York has gained notoriety as the financial scam world of the West.

Along came Donald Trump – perhaps the king of con artists. Those he has scammed are not New Yorkers – who know better – but those who may be less informed or experienced from the Southern, Northwestern states and perhaps Texas and Alaska. Trump's career has been marked by six bankruptcies ending in a fraud lawsuit where he was convicted. The verdict resulted in his companies liable to pay $354.8 million of ill-gotten gains for fraud. In 2024, he was convicted of falsifying business records related to hush money payments. This lavish scheme was to pay Stormy Daniels, a prostitute, in exchange for her silence about an alleged affair, so his reputation was intact for the 2016 election. Also in 2024, he was convicted in the E. Jean Carroll defamation and sexual assault case. A jury found him liable for sexual abuse, awarding Carroll $5 million in damages and $83.3 million in a separate defamation lawsuit. He is now legally labeled a sexual predator.

The Trump Taj Mahal failed just one year after opening due to poor financial decisions and mammoth debt. His Castle and Trump Plaza suffered the same death. A few years later (2004), Trump hotels and casino resorts filed a Chapter 11, and in 2009 so did the Trump Entertainment Resorts. The Trump graveyard of business ventures partially include: (1) Trump University, (2) Trump Steaks, (3) Trump Vodka, (4) Trump Airlines, and (5) Go.Trump.com. His Trump Foundation, which closed due to a court order, was discovered to be his regular piggy bank – he misused donated funds, earmarked for nonprofit purposes, and spent these funds for his lavish personal expenses along with his eldest children.

His latest dishonest scheme is a crypto currency company. Owned by Trump-affiliated entities "have made at least $300 million in trading fees alone on the sale of his meme coin and other digital currency since January 2025. (USA Today, Riley Beggin, May 7, 2025) "And another Trump family crypto firm, World Liberty Financial – supervised by Zachary Folkman - who once managed a company called "Date Hotter Girls" - announced on May 1 that one of its digital coins is being used by an Abu Dhabi government-backed investment firm for a $2 billion investment in crypto currency exchange Binance. This is a major outlay from a foreign government to the benefit of – who else – the Trump Family." (Ibid)

Senator Richard Blumenthal (D) from Connecticut said, "Donald Trump is selling crypto currency like snake oil in the Wild West, and he's put a 'for sale' sign on the White House for his meme coin." (Ibid) In fact, most Americans cannot even watch TV without viewing advertisements for Trump's meme coin.
