On July 30, 2007, PPL Corporation (“PPL”) issued a press release announcing that it has initiated a process to pursue the sale of PPL Gas Utilities Corporation, PPL’s natural gas and propane businesses.  A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
