HSBC ANNOUNCEMENT
 
 
Further to the announcement on 7 September 2010 regarding the retirement of Group Chairman Stephen Green, HSBC Holdings plc will shortly make an announcement on Group succession. HSBC Directors will hold a conference call for analysts and investors and separately for media.
 
The conference call for analysts and investors will start at 17:45 UK time.
 
The media call will be at 18:30 UK time.
