Hanson PLC completes $149 million acquisition of Better Materials Corporation
On April 16, 2003, Hanson PLC, the international building materials company, announced an agreement to acquire Better Materials
Corporation. This acquisition was completed on July 18, 2003. The purchase price was $149 million in cash, plus working capital
adjustments and the assumption of approximately $3 million in debt.
