Item 8.01. Other Events.

On March 27, 2007, FuelCell Energy, Inc. (the “FuelCell”) issued a press release announcing that the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (“CCEF”) had screened and selected six energy projects, incorporating 68 megawatts of FuelCell’s fuel cell products. The state's two electric distribution companies will review CCEF's recommendations and perform additional analyses leading to their selection of the projects to receive long-term power purchase agreements. A copy of FuelCell’s press release is attached to this report as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
