Item 5.02  Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers

 

On August 3, 2005, the Board of Directors of Beazer Homes USA, Inc. (the “Company”) appointed Peter G. Leemputte as a new director effective immediately.  Mr. Leemputte will serve a one-year term expiring at the Company’s 2007 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, pending election by the Company’s shareholders at the 2006 Annual Meeting.  Mr. Leemputte will join the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.

 

A copy of the press release concerning the election of Mr. Leemputte is attached as Exhibit 99.1, which is incorporated herein by reference.
